Since 1984, Erwin & Company has provided a complete suite of attestation and tax services for sophisticated clients based predominately in Arkansas, but with operations throughout the country. We have expertise in a wide range of industries including banking, agribusiness, manufacturing, real estate, restaurants, employee benefit plans, and not-for-profit organizations.
Our staff of professionals have experience ranging from less than one year to over four decades. Our staff turnover rate is very low, ensuring continuity for our clients.

Brad Crain
Tax Professional
Brad Crain is a tax professional who provides tax, accounting and consulting services to small and mid-sized businesses and individuals in Arkansas. He’s been providing these services going back to 2000, which has included owning multiple tax and accounting practices in southwest Arkansas for over 15 years prior to moving back to central Arkansas and joining Erwin & Company in 2019. A lifelong Arkansan, Brad graduated summa cum laude from the University of Central Arkansas in 1995. He is married to Stacy, and has two children, Hank and Georgie.
Harry C. (Chuck) Erwin, III
Tax Professional
Chuck established Erwin & Company in 1984 and continues to provide tax planning, consultation, and compliance services for individuals, as well as small and mid-sized businesses and multinational companies. A graduate of the University of Texas, he began his career in 1979 with the predecessor of the national accounting firm of Ernst & Young where he was involved in all aspects of federal income taxation and estate and gift taxation, including serving as a resident in the firm’s national tax practice in New York.
Chuck has also been actively involved in the Little Rock community, supporting institutions such as the Arkansas Arts Center and the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra. He has served on the Board of Trustees of Arkansas Children’s Hospital since 1990, serving as chairman from 2003 to 2006.
Tanya Esworthy
Tax Professional
Tanya provides audit, tax, and consulting services for clients in industries that include banking, agricultural production, real estate, colleges and universities, and other not-for-profit organizations. Tanya also leads Erwin & Company’s employee benefit plan audit and compliance practice and is a member of the AICPA Employee Benefit Plan Audit Quality Center.
A graduate of the University of Central Arkansas, Tanya joined Erwin & Company in 1995.
Danny Fisher
Tax Professional
Danny provides audit, consulting, and tax services for a wide variety of businesses and their owners, primarily within Arkansas. His specific emphasis is in the areas of banking, agriculture, and not-for-profit organizations. Danny’s responsibilities also include oversight of the firm’s audit and attestation practice.
A graduate of the University of Arkansas, Danny worked for five years with Russell Brown & Company, and its successor, Arthur Young & Company before joining Erwin & Company in 1985.
Kevin Freier
Tax Professional
Kevin provides tax, consulting, and estate planning services for small and mid-sized businesses engaged in real estate, agriculture, restaurant, law, and energy industries, including those with operations in many states across the country. He also serves high-wealth individuals, as well as their trusts and their related business entities.
Kevin is a 1988 graduate of the University of Arkansas and has been a member of the Erwin & Company team since 1999. His community and volunteer activities include serving several local charitable organizations, including serving as past president of the Rotary Club of West Little Rock.
Brian Martin
Tax Professional
Brian joined Erwin & Company in 1993 upon graduation from the University of Arkansas.
Amanda Pittman
Tax Professional
Amanda provides tax and consulting services for small businesses and high net worth individuals and their related business entities. She is a 2001 graduate of the University of Central Arkansas. She began her career in our audit and attestation practice and has over 20 years of tax experience. (Not sure on the specifics, but this will give her something to modify).
Brian Russ
Tax Professional
Ben provides tax, consulting, and retirement planning services for small and mid-sized businesses engaged in real estate, construction, transportation, agriculture, law, and medical industries, with a focus on Arkansas based companies. He also serves high-wealth individuals, as well as their trusts and their related business entities.
Ben is a 2011 graduate of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. He worked for various local firms for a dozen years before becoming a member of the Erwin & Company team in 2022. His community and volunteer activities include serving several local charitable organizations and is the bookkeeper at his local church.
Michelle Swain
Tax Professional
Michelle provides tax and consulting services for small and mid-sized businesses engaged in real estate, agriculture, and energy industries, including those with operations in many states across the country. She also serves high-wealth individuals, as well as their trusts and their related business entities.
Michelle is a 1996 graduate of the University of Central Arkansas and worked for Arthur Andersen for a couple of years before joining the Erwin & Company team in 1998. She is involved in her community by serving on a local charitable organization board and is very involved in her church’s activities.
Nate Talley
Tax Professional
Nate is a partner in our audit and attestation practice with over 10 years of experience serving banks, not-for-profits and employee benefit plans located throughout Arkansas. He has a bachelors degree from the University of South Carolina and a masters degree from the University of Arkansas. (again, he’ll have more specifics after he reads the first draft).
